Find helgi after dark. The jarl reveals helgi’s location if the dragonborn asks about it. Waiting until dark will allow the quest to continue.
Above and to the right of the burned house (over the rocks), large piles of stones surround a grave site with a child’s coffin unearthed. During a ghostly “hide and seek” game with helgi, the dragonborn will find laelette, the missing wife of thonnir, and discover that she is a vampire. She appears at helgi’s exhumed coffin, over a rocky hill west of the house.

Helgi just talks to you through the coffin, and you should be sent onto the next part of the quest. This is a little video where i show the location of helgi. This is an object mission in the quest:

For other uses, see helgi. Helgi was a nord child and the daughter of hroggar, who lived in morthal. She and her mother burned to death in a house fire set by laelette, investigated in the quest laid to rest. helgi exists as an innocent ghost, unaware of the gravity of events involving her family.

Wait until nightfall to find helgi hiding in her grave in a small plot behind the house. It's a short distance away, up and to the right, marked with cairns.
