The spotify team is aware of the issue that prevents choosing sonos speakers in spotify connect through the desktop app. There is no eta yet for a fix that resolves the issue. We will let you know when the issue is resolved via an update to this story.

Since the spotify snafu yesterday, i can't connect to my sonos speaker through my spotify android app. The white devices available prompt shows up at the bottom of the spotify app and i can see my living room player under the connect to a device menu.
But when i click on the spotify connect service, nothing happens. This just started today. I am trying to access spotify through the sonos app and it won’t connect.

Ryan s 2 years ago. Hey guys, we’re looking into an issue with spotify right now that is emerging. It sounds like an outage is developing where the spotify app isn’t able to play to sonos devices.
You can watch on our status page for news. The outage will likely show up shortly there if it is confirmed. Being on an outdated sonos version will also lead to the same situation where sonos won’t connect to spotify.
If you’re in the same boat and haven’t updated the system in a while, just browse the system update settings through the mobile application and check for updates. Sonos s1 app for ios or android connect your device to the wifi network that sonos is on. Open the sonos app.
When you see the message “sonos found” at the top of the screen, tap connect.
