Think of your team’s positioning like a battle formation. Step too far forward, and you may get picked off before your team reaches the fight. If you’re too lagging far behind, you may miss out on the action entirely.
Hold your formation until the fight is in your favor. Once you see an opening commit on the opportunity. Shift qwe with thumb on space if i'm adc.

League of legends requires you to complete 10 placement matches to determine what rank to place you, think of it as your calibration matches where the system tests what you can do and how you think as a player. You use r much much less compared to other skills, i think optimally you'd put your index on e. I'm weird as i put my index on w, middle on q, ring around shift/tab area and don't even use pinky. Oh i do use pinky for ctrl + level skill.

This is the best finger position for playing league of legends at a high level. there are multiple things that i don't even cover here on how this is best way.
