Oct 19, 2018 @ 3:51am lots of people use 1280x1024, or custom 1440 resolutions if i remember correctly. It's highly dependent on personal preference, so just play around with different resolutions. Yes, make your desktop resolution the res you wish to have rust on.
For example, go into nvidia control panel make a res 1440x1080 (or whatever) and set it to your desktop res. Open rust, set to fullscreen borderless and 1440x1080 res. Doesnt work for me i think.
Stretched gives you better frames and a lot of really good players use it. Ive used 1440x1080 for over 1k hours (2k total hours on rust) and its pretty nice. Everyone forgets that lower res literally gives you a pretty noticeable fps boost.
