Same problem here, fh4 opens, shows the picture for a couple of seconds and then closes. I can confirm uninstalling and then reinstalling the game solved the problem for me. Comment removed by moderator · 4 yr.
Open settings and go to apps > apps & features. Locate forza horizon 4 in the right pane and click advanced options below it. Under reset section, click reset button and confirm the operation.

I then installed the newer driver 20. 2. 2 and after around 15 minutes of playing my pc freezes and i have to hold down the start button on my case for it to restart the pc. After a lot of hassle, it seemed that i had change some stuff in eset smart security and exclude folders, steam on the c: Drive and steam libary on my d: (or turn of anti virus all together also seems to fix it).

Try running it as administrator, i had an issue like this and to be honest, i just restarted my pc and opened the game about 10 times before it fixed itself.
