Idk about servers being shut down due to a new release. Fh1 servers weren't shut until (iirc) last year, when at that point the game was eight years old. I doubt fh3 will be shut down after a mere five, though i'm unsure as to whether or not fh2 servers have been shut yet.

They're not down, but they've been temperamental for years. If they've been temperamental how do most features not work now? Currently playing h1 on 360 because my one is broken, yet i remember being able to download liveries by backwards compatibility.

Forza horizon 3 is the new game in the popular series from developers playground games. As usual, this is a game exclusive to xbox one and pc and we’ve set up. Not sure on the exact system but it is the most common problem for connectivity with the xbox servers.
I myself have to check on it sometimes if my game keeps disconnecting even though the internet was working fine. On your pc, search for xbox networking settings, and it should automatically scan the connection to the servers. It says that the forza horizon 2 server is not currently available.
I believe the servers for matchmaking, leaderboards and rivals are still online. The storefront servers for liveries and tunes should be online but they often have server outages which last several weeks. The marketplace is definitely offline though and the servers are.
