I'm just wondering how much of a threat the giganotosaurus will be against the alpha rex once it's implemented, tamed or wild, do you think it'll be a brand new threat that carebear players will complain about until it's nerfed or if it will be another push over for a decently tamed rex or if.
In addition to their own strength, they also buff the damage and resistance of any nearby wild carnivores. They pose a significant threat to any players who aren't fully prepared to. The only time we lost a giga to an alpha rex was 2 alpha rexs levels 56 and 78 vs a fresh level 8 giga tame.
Needless to say it was hilarious. They were locked in the stone quarry and the death match began. All was well till both rexs started attacking the giga at the same time.

Even a level 1 wild giga will beat a 150 alpha rex due to its bleed & large health pool. Tamed giga vs alpha rex? Due to the nerf gigas get when tamed, a low level giga can be killed by a high level alpha rex, especially if the giga lacks a saddle.
Any giga worth taming and with a saddle will be able to handle an alpha. My giga tamed out at level 13 so i'd say it was basically a level 5 alpha rex v a level 15 giga, they're basically as strong as each other if they were at the same level now. If your giga takes too much damage it will rage and throw you off the saddle and eat you.
So no do not take a giga. Still relatively new to some aspect of ark and so i wondering. Can my giga a with 34k hp/255 melee beat most, if not all.
